There are many things to do in San Salvador, but if you don’t have much time available, this tour will take you to one of the best destinations in San Salvador. We will leave at 03:00 pm from your accommodation hotel in San Salvador and we will go to the San Salvador volcano.

The San Salvador Volcano, located next to the capital to the west, is a sleeping giant that made its last eruption in 1917, more than 100 years have passed since then and this place has become one of the favorite destinations for locals. for its pleasant climate, splendid views of the capital and contact with nature.

This tour is a mix of a little bit of everything, we will get to know a bit of eruptive history, we will visit the crater of this dormant volcano, we will be near coffee plantations, we will have a small dose of adrenaline doing the famous Rainbow Slide El Salvador. Ending with a delicious tasting of the typical Salvadoran dish: Las Pupusas!

    We will arrive at Picnic Steak House, here is the most famous slide in El Salvador, arm yourself with courage and launch into this adventure, you will love it and enjoy it to the fullest. This restaurant is extremely colorful, has beautiful gardens, and incredible views of the city of Santa Tecla.

    El Boquerón National Park

    This is the most accessible national park in the entire country, a very low difficulty trail will take us to the top of this beautiful volcano. At the top is the crater, approximately 1600 feet deep, the deepest crater in El Salvador. We will know the eruptive history of this volcano, the causes of its current form, and of course, here you will have one of the best photographs. If you have never been to a volcano before, this is your chance.

    Pupusas Time

    We will visit a restaurant in the area to taste the typical dish that Salvadorans fall in love with. The Pupusas. The pupusas have the appearance of a thick tortilla, they have a filling that takes cheese as its main base and is mixed with an infinity of ingredients such as local plants and flowers, mushrooms, jalapeño, pork rinds, chicken, etc. If you don’t eat cheese, they can also be ordered without cheese. We are sure you will love them, and don’t forget that pupusas are eaten with your hands!

    Return to San Salvador City
