If you love nature and eco-adventure El Imposible National Park is your best option. El Salvador’s largest national park is a nature reserve made up of dry tropical forest, constantly threatened by predators.
Source of life and water for humans and species inhabiting the area, 3800 hectares of forest, is the last and most important refuge, in this national park inhabit more than 500 species of plants, 100 species of mammals, 53 amphibians and reptiles, 285 species of birds and over 5000 species of butterflies. El Imposible National Park offers you simple interpretive walks that show you step by step the biodiversity and natural resources that the forest possesses within that eco system in a quiet and without so much effort. But it is also optimal to develop extreme walks, between slopes and slopes, rocks and precipices, rivers, flat sections, hollows and plains, under the shadow of the forest for a while and then in an arid environment.
Some of the important points inside the park, you cannot miss. Is first view point El Mulo, From here you can have an impressive panorama of the national park. You will only see 35% of the forest, but the view will take your breath away. The second option visit and swim in Los Enganches river, a natural and crystalline source of fresh mountain water. The water from this river reaches the ocean where they feed another salt forest natural reserve, known as La Barra de Santiago.

There is no restaurant in the national park, so we recommend bringing a prepared lunch. We can make a stop along the way to buy something.
Do not forget to bring your insect repellent and your swimsuit to enjoy the crystal clear waters of the river.
