Make the most of your visit to El Salvador with this combo tour. Enjoy watching closely one of the most beautiful volcanoes in El Salvador. On this tour we will visit in volcano complex, exactly in the Cerro Verde National Park. Cerro Verde is an inactive volcano that has developed a misty forest. It has become home to hundreds of species of birds, mammals, trees and plants. The perfect place to get in touch with nature. We will make a walk along the park’s paths, we will observe from the top 3 different volcanoes: The Izalco Volcano, known for being the youngest volcano in El Salvador, known as the Pacific lighthouse, a volcano with an almost perfect cone shape. We will continue in the sederos and observe the imposing volcano of Santa Ana, the highest volcano in El Salvador, made its last burp in 2005. You will also observe from the top the beautiful lake Coatepeque, a volcanic caldera that has become the lake most beautiful of El Salvador.
After finishing the visit on our trail we will visit Coatepeque Lake. Lake Coatepeque is the most beautiful lake in the country. Here you can enjoy a delicious lunch with a spectacular view of the lake.
We will continue with our tour, but now in the archaeological wealth of El Salvador, we will visit the San Andres Archaeological Site. This was a political center – Cerenmonial that worked during the last part of the classical period. We will visit the Acropolis, the most exclusive part during its use by the Maya, we will understand the connection it had with other important sites such as Copan in Honduras.
We will finish with the visit to the most important archaeological site in El Salvador, Joya de Cere. Known as the Pompeii of America, it was a Mayan agricultural village that was buried by the ashes of a volcano 1400 years ago. All this allowed the village to remain almost intact until it was found a few years ago. Now it has become the only place in the Mayan world where you can understand how the normal population lived.

This is a tour for all ages, the walk does not require much physical effort. You can bring your swimsuit if you want to take a brief dip in Lake Coatepeque. Do not forget your insect repellent.
