In El Salvador there are many things to discover, and if you visit this beautiful country, we are sure that you will want to remember it forever, and one way to do it is handicrafts. Here we have a legacy of artisan wealth. Through this route we discover the different manifestations of material culture embodied by the ingenious hands of our artisans.
In this tour we will learn the interesting process of making these products, starting our trip in San Sebastián, a cute town dedicated to the art of looms. The San Sebastián handicraft is unique in the country, you can not find anything like it elsewhere and that is why working on looms has become a way of life for many of those who live in this pretty village.
We will continue our journey in one of the most famous craft centers in El Salvador for pottery in mud, Ilobasco. But it is not any type of pottery but this town is characterized by being a producer of miniature pottery. We will discover the artistic grace of the craftsman who is shaped in the clay that molds with his hands from the pre-Columbian era.
We finish our tour visiting the tranquil city of Suchitoto, with beautiful colonial style houses and cobbled streets. Recognized as the cultural capital of El Salvador for its dedication to the promotion of art in its various expressions. We will visit the Museum House of Don Alejandro Coto, where you can admire valuable works of pictorial art. We will also have one of the most beautiful views of Lake Suchitlán.
