The remains of the city preserved by time suggest 3 important construction periods, specifically before the city was desolate. One of the most important attractions of the site is the Hieroglyphic Steps Square, which has an imposing unique staircase within the Mayan culture. On the steps there are more than 1,250 individual glyphs, these glyphs have formed the largest Maya writing so far conceived. All this preserved because of the jungle, which covered the archeological site and preserved it until its discovery.
